We almost might have forgotten the other value of sports in our lives.

I just listened to the openingsspeech of Prince Harry at the Invictus games in Canada 2017, organized for the men an women who served their country in war zones. I hope that you are able to comprehend his speech, despite of or just because of the fact that they are soldiers. In a matter of fact, it has nothing to do with their profession or history, only with their recovery and rehab as human beings. In sports as well as in rehab it's always to challenge and fight our limits and rehab and the roll our family and friends have is unquestionable. Still echoing in my head is this sentence: "I hope that you are ready to see rol models in action that any parent will want their children to look up to and you will see life to change in front of your eyes".

I want you to know where Invictus is all about.

Invictus is about the men and women who served their countries, confronted hardship and refused to be defined by their injuries.

Invictus is about the families and friends who faced the shot of learning to the loved ones to be injured or falling hill and then ready to support them on their journey of recovery and above all Invictus is about the example to the world that all service men and women, injured or not, provide about the importance of service and duty.

I knew that it was my responsibility to use the platform that i have to help the world understand and be inspired by those who wear the uniform

In a world where so many have reasons to feel cynical and apathetic, I want them to find a way the veterans to be a beacon of light to show us all that we have a roll to play that we all win when we respect our friends, neighbors and community.

Not only to to help veterans to recover from their physical and mental wounds but also to inspire people

to follow their example of resilience, optimism and service in their own lives.

In the days ahead i know many of you will be experiencing invictus for the very first time

I hope you are ready.

I hope you are ready for some fierce competitions.

I hope you are ready to see the meaning of teamwork that proves anything is possible when we work together.

I hope you’re ready to see courage and determination that will inspire you to pass trough the challenges in your own life.

I hope that you are ready to see rol models in action that any parent will want their children to look up to and you will see life to change in front of your eyes.

You have all come such a long way.

Some of you have cheated death and have come back stronger than before.

Some of you have overcome emotional challenges during very recent years and you’ve seen it ripped it of and ignored.

And now you’re here, supporting your teammates and reporting your stands

In the eyes of your families and friends you are all winners

Please don’t forget to love every second of it.

Don’t forget our friends who couldn’t get home from the battlefields.

Don’t forget those at home who still need our support

and don’t forget that you are proving to the world that anything is possible
